Meldon Ellis is the principal and founder of Ellis Business Lawyers, a boutique firm focused on business law, insolvency, foreclosures, civil and commercial litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. Ellis has practised business law in British Columbia for 29 years, acting as counsel in complex civil and commercial cases. Before returning fully to law, Ellis owned and operated several businesses, including serving as CEO of an international public company with more than 100 employees, operations in multiple countries, and a multi million dollar annual budget. The practice serves companies and individuals in the BC real estate development, construction, and technology sectors, including contractors, developers, and lenders. Ellis acts as both counsel and mediator in construction and commercial disputes, and case experience includes shareholder disputes, banking and finance, bankruptcy and insolvency, foreclosures, contract disputes, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and wrongful dismissal matters.
