About Megan
Megan Strachan is the principal of Strachan Family Law, a boutique firm she founded to help family law clients reach efficient, cost-effective resolutions. She is also a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (registered 2023), and she draws on that training to help de-escalate conflict in her legal work. Strachan holds a Juris Doctor and Master of Global Affairs from the University of Toronto (2014), an Honours B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from York University (2010), an Advanced Certificate in Negotiations from Osgoode Professional Development (2018), and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Distinction from Yorkville University (2024). She was called to the Ontario bar in 2015 (LSO #68278N) and is a member of the Middlesex Family Law Association and the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists. She previously worked at larger firms before opening her own practice focused on clients seeking a reasonable, low-conflict resolution.
