About Martin

Martin St-Amant co-founded St-Amant & Vien Avocats d'affaires and advises companies of all sizes on business law, international commercial law and intellectual property, as well as business immigration. He completed his civil law degree at the University of Ottawa, a diploma in international studies in Paris, and a doctorate in international commercial law from the Universite de Paris Sorbonne. Martin St-Amant was part of the Canadian negotiating team for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and was previously a partner at major Canadian law firms. He is a member of the Barreau du Quebec and several international law organizations, and has authored numerous articles on international, public and private law. In 2022, Best Lawyers in Canada named him Lawyer of the Year in immigration law; his practice includes advising companies on Canadian and American work permits for employees.
