About Martin

Martin Sanderson is a partner at Robson, O'Connor LLP, focusing on estate and incapacity planning, estate administration, and helping businesses with their legal needs. He studied psychology and philosophy at the University of British Columbia before attending the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, earning his Juris Doctor in 2014 along with a specialization certificate in Health Law and Policy. After graduating, he worked as a research assistant with Dalhousie's Health Law Institute and then as a student-at-law with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto. He returned to BC in 2017, joined the firm as an associate, and became a partner in 2020. He helps clients with wills, estate and incapacity planning, and assists executors with probate matters, alongside business and family law work. He also volunteers with a program supporting people involuntarily admitted under BC's Mental Health Act and serves as vice president of the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce.
