About Marlaina

Marlaina Correia earned her civil law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2021 and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2024. She began her career at one of Montreal's larger family-law firms, where she gained experience in youth protection law, estates law and matters concerning the person. Correia has appeared before the Cour supérieure and the Cour du Québec's youth division, representing clients in both English and French on divorce, separation, custody, supervised access, school-choice disputes, parental authority, liquidator appointments, will contests and protection-mandate applications. She received several academic scholarships as a student and served as vice-president of academic affairs for the law students' association at the University of Ottawa's civil law faculty.
