Insurance LawPetar R. Stoyanov founded Canlex Avocat Inc. and holds a Bachelor of Laws from Université de Sherbrooke (2018) and a Master of Laws from McGill University (2019), and was admitted to the Québec Bar in 2020. Stoyanov received the Governor General's Academic Medal in 2015 and was named to the Dean's Honour List in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Stoyanov's practice covers business law, including incorporating professional corporations and buying and selling businesses, due diligence work, civil and commercial litigation, employment law, consumer protection and insurance coverage matters, and has also worked on class action files alongside experienced counsel in that area. Before founding the firm, Stoyanov practised at the Montreal office of a large international law firm and completed internships at another major Canadian firm, a national food retailer's legal department, and a Crown corporation's legal department. Stoyanov was also an editor of the Law Journal of the Université de Sherbrooke.
