About Maritza

Maritza Verdun-Jones was called to the bar in Alberta in 2007 and in British Columbia in 2010. She practices family law and is also a Collaborative Family Lawyer and an accredited Family Law Mediator through the Law Society of British Columbia. She has considerable experience with interim hearings and trials at both the Provincial and Supreme Court levels, but believes some family law matters are best resolved without court intervention, favouring the collaborative process for quicker, mutually agreeable resolutions that help preserve relationships between parents. She accepts legal aid files.
