About Marie-Josée
Gauthier has practiced law since 1995, focusing on family law, wills and estates, and residential real estate. Gauthier earned a degree from the University of Ottawa in 1993. Since 2000, Gauthier has represented children through appointments by the Office of the Children's Lawyer. Gauthier served as vice-president of United Way in 2010-2011 and volunteered for 13 years at Interlude House, a women's abuse shelter, an experience that has informed Gauthier's understanding of the challenges facing domestic abuse victims during separation. Gauthier received the Lang Michener award for the highest grade in Aboriginal Peoples and the Law, and the Roy Vincent Dagenais Gour award for the highest grade in Civil Procedures.
