Marie-Claude Dionne holds a bachelor of laws from Université Laval and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2006. After building her skills in private practice in Québec City and then Montreal, she founded Dionne Avocats in 2014. She is a member of the Quebec family-law lawyers' association and now practises almost exclusively in family law, though her early years as a criminal lawyer make her well suited to cases where tensions between former spouses spill over into criminal complaints alongside matters like child custody. She devotes significant time to managing the firm and sits, on a volunteer basis, on the board of a non-profit that provides respite services to families of people with autism spectrum disorder.
