About Louis
Louis R. Filion graduated from the University of Ottawa's French Common Law Program in 1994 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1996. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa. He is fluently bilingual and provides legal services in both English and French. He has served as a director and officer of the Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario since 2011 and sits on the advisory committee for the University of Ottawa's Law Practice Program. His practice covers mergers and acquisitions, commercial and residential financing, business structuring and agreements, commercial and residential purchase and sale, enforcement of personal and real securities, and wills and estate planning and administration. He is also a private pilot and owns his own aircraft, which he uses to travel throughout Ontario and elsewhere in Canada for his practice.
