About Lorne
Lorne Sabsay has practised law since 1987 and is recognized by the Law Society of Ontario as a certified specialist in criminal law, having defended clients against charges ranging from shoplifting to murder. Since 2001 he has also worked as a civil litigator, with an emphasis on cases arising from criminal allegations and on representing professionals before discipline boards and students before academic tribunals. He teaches advocacy and legal skills through organizations including the Advocates Society, Osgoode Hall Law School, the Criminal Lawyers Association, and the Ontario Bar Association, and serves as National Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Drug Treatment Court Professionals. Lorne earned his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1985 and a B.A. in Biology and Political Science from the University of Toronto in 1982.
