About Howard

Howard C. Cohen practises criminal law and civil litigation, and has been recognized as a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law for nearly two decades. He has defended clients facing the full range of criminal charges, including homicides, armed robberies, serious narcotics offences, and major frauds, and has done drug defence work involving wiretap evidence since the late 1970s. As a martial artist since 1968 and a licensed owner of both restricted and non-restricted firearms, Howard brings hands-on knowledge of self-defence and firearms handling to cases involving crimes of violence, making him well suited to representing police officers, security guards, and others involved in use-of-force incidents. He is a member of the International Defensive Pistol Association and a competitive shooter at a local Target Sports Shooting Club.
