About Lisa

Lisa Middlemiss founded Middlemiss Immigration Law in September 2024. She was called to the Quebec Bar in August 2013 and previously worked at a boutique immigration law firm in Montreal, eventually becoming a partner there before starting her own practice. Middlemiss is bilingual in English and French and serves corporate and individual clients across Canada on Canadian immigration matters, from employer work permit applications to spousal sponsorships. She has been active for a decade with the Canadian Bar Association's Immigration Law Section, serving as vice-president and then president of the Quebec Branch, and later as a table officer of the national section's executive. Before earning her civil law and common law degrees at McGill University, Middlemiss worked for the International Policy and Agreements Division of Human Resources and Social Development Canada in Ottawa.
