About Linda

Linda Long founded Long Family Law Group LLP in 2004 and has practiced family law in Alberta since 1986. Linda is a Registered Family Mediator, a Registered Collaborative Lawyer, and a family law Arbitrator, and has appeared before all levels of Alberta courts. Linda received a King's Counsel appointment in 2006 for contributions to the Canadian community and served as a Bencher on the Law Society of Alberta's Board of Governors from 2017 to 2020. Linda earned a law degree from the University of Alberta, Faculty of Law. Before the legal career, Linda served in the Canadian Armed Forces for over a decade and later advised Canada's Minister of National Defence on gender integration policy. Linda has been active in refugee sponsorship and Indigenous community initiatives throughout the career at the firm.
