About Leona

Leona Connelly was born and raised in Kirkland Lake and studied Communications at the University of Ottawa, earning an Honours B.A., before completing the French Common Law Program at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law. During law school she was Vice-President of Communications for the student body and for the university's Women & the Law group, and interned with the Ottawa Wills Project preparing pro bono estate planning documents for low-income individuals. She has worked at Chamaillard Law since 2017, first as a summer student and then, after graduating law school in June 2025, as an articling student in her hometown. She was called to the Ontario Bar in March 2026 and now practises primarily in real estate, wills and estates, and family law.
