About Emilie

Emilie Chamaillard grew up in Kirkland Lake and studied at the University of Ottawa, earning a B.A. with a specialization in Ethics before completing her J.D. at the Faculty of Law in both French and English, graduating cum laude in 2013. She articled with Richard-Gorman & Associates and was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2014. She became a partner in the firm in 2016, when it was renamed Richard & Chamaillard Law, and it took its current name, Chamaillard Law, after her partner Julie Richard was appointed to the bench in 2022. Emilie has served as a legal panel member of the Office of the Children's Lawyer since 2017, representing children in child protection and custody and access matters, and is the Family Law Representative for the Timiskaming Law Association. Beyond family law, Emilie also handles real estate, municipal law, civil litigation, and wills and estates matters. Emilie is active in the community and was the first female president of the Kirkland Lake Golf Club.
