About Lawrence

Lawrence W. Donald founded Donald Legal Services, the predecessor to Donald & Kehler Law Office, in 1994. A graduate of the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Law, he was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1979. His general practice covers commercial, residential, and agricultural real estate transactions, condominium and subdivision development, and petroleum and natural gas leasing, along with estate planning and administration and labour and employment matters. As a litigator in civil, domestic, and criminal proceedings, he has appeared before all levels of Manitoba courts, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Tax Court of Canada. He is trained in arbitration, mediation, and negotiation, has chaired the Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal, and worked as a contract mediator under the Farm Debt Mediation Act for ten years. Lawrence has taken leadership roles in several Brandon community organizations, including the Brandon and District United Way and the Kiwanis Club of Brandon.
