Lauren Wade grew up in Bancroft, Ontario, and became a licensed paralegal in 2017 after completing the Durham College paralegal program. She then pursued a combined diploma and Bachelor's degree at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, majoring in Legal Studies with a minor in Criminology and Justice, finishing both in four years. She gained early criminal law experience through a placement with the Durham Region Crown Attorney's Office before joining Elrick Law in 2019, first as a legal assistant and then as a paralegal handling Small Claims and Provincial Offences matters. In 2021 she left to complete her law degree at the University of Leicester in the UK, graduating with honours in 2023, and she articled at Elrick Law before returning as an associate handling commercial litigation, personal injury litigation and family law.
