About Kwame
Kwame Abrefah earned an Honours BA from York University in Toronto, followed by a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto, before obtaining his law degree from the University of Alberta. He worked as a Regional Social Worker and Manager of Social Programs in the Northwest Territories, and later as Senior Manager of Child Intervention Services for the Northeast Zone of Central Alberta Child and Family Services. Abrefah received the Premier of Alberta Award of Excellence for piloting the Success-In-School Initiative for children and youth in government care. He draws on his social work background to combine interpersonal and legal skills, and favours negotiation and alternative dispute resolution while remaining prepared to litigate when a matter requires it.
