About Kevin
Kevin Doan came to Canada as one of the Vietnamese "Boat People" refugees in 1979. He studied computer science and philosophy at the University of Toronto and law at York University, and has practised personal injury and insurance law since 1996. He is a Law Society of Ontario certified specialist in civil litigation and has received the H. Bruce T. Hillyer Award from the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association for his trial advocacy on behalf of injured persons. Kevin has twice served on the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association's Board of Directors and has volunteered as an advisor in the Law Society of Ontario's Coach and Advisor Network Program since 2017. He has spoken at professional conferences and written for legal publications, and works on systemic issues in the civil justice system, including the risks posed by flawed expert evidence.
