About Katie
Katie Lloyd (Kathleen S. Lloyd) is the principal lawyer at Lloyd Family Law, based in Simcoe County. She earned an honours degree in psychology from McMaster University in 2001 and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2005, where she volunteered with and later coordinated Pro Bono Students Canada's Family Law Project. She articled at the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee in Toronto and was called to the bar in July 2006. Katie worked as an associate at two large full-service Simcoe County firms before starting her own family law practice. She handles matters including property division, child and spousal support, interjurisdictional support orders, parenting plans and decision-making, restraining orders, child abductions, and mobility disputes. She has represented clients in litigation, mediation, and arbitration, and is currently working toward accreditation as a mediator.
