About Karen
Karen Hedman is a partner at Krentz & Hedman, focusing on family law in Abbotsford and the Fraser Valley since 1995. Originally from Saskatchewan, she grew up largely in Maple Ridge and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University in 1991, followed by a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 1994. She moved to Abbotsford in 1994, articled locally, and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1995. She joined Rory Krentz as an associate in 1997 and became his partner in 2005. She has litigated at all levels of court in British Columbia and taught child welfare law as a guest lecturer and sessional instructor at the University of the Fraser Valley for about 20 years.
