About Joy

Joy Wei is the founder and principal lawyer of Lyceum Professional Corporation (Lyceum Law), which she established in Ottawa in February 2021. She practices business law, wills, estates and trust law, and immigration law, with a particular focus on estate planning and administration, business transactions and corporate matters, and complex immigration applications. Joy began her legal career in China as in-house counsel for Deutsche Bank before moving to Canada. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2021, and also holds an LL.M. in International Commercial Law from the University of Leicester in the UK and an LL.B. from Suzhou University in China. She is a full member (TEP) of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and serves as Chair of the Multicultural Artists' Coalition and a board director of the Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre.
