About Joseph

Joseph D. Kennedy returned to his hometown of North Bay in 2008 to open his own litigation practice after working at one of Canada's largest law firms in Toronto's financial district. His practice has covered business disputes, franchisor-franchisee rights, mortgage enforcement, collections, landlord and tenant disputes, real estate matters, wrongful dismissals, and warranty claims, acting for financial institutions, businesses, sole proprietors, franchisors and franchisees, non-profits, and individuals. He has appeared before various courts, tribunals, and mediations, and has served as prosecution counsel for Tarion Warranty Corporation and the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit. He volunteered as a board member for the Nipissing Community Legal Clinic. Kennedy earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario in 1997, graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2000, and was called to the Bar of Ontario in February 2002. He is a status member of Nipissing First Nation.
