About John

John W. Maynard, KC has practiced law for 38 years at Key Murray Law's Summerside and Mill River offices, with experience in criminal defence, fisheries defence, family law, and personal injury claims. He has worked extensively with fishermen and farmers and maintains an active real estate and estate planning practice, and has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada and all levels of Prince Edward Island's courts and tribunals. John earned a B.A. and an LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 1979 and 1982 and was called to the bar of Prince Edward Island in 1984. He is a past president of the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association and sits on its executive and education committee.
