Solo practitioner called to Ontario Bar in 1989. Educated at Acadia University (Nova Scotia) and University of Aberdeen (Scotland). Articled and worked as lawyer in Toronto before moving to St. Catharines. First decade focused almost exclusively on criminal law. For last 25 years practice includes civil litigation and construction lien work. Now focusing more on criminal work, particularly overlap between criminal and mental health law. Led seminars at Ontario Bar Admission Course and lectured at continuing education conferences on evidence, criminal and civil procedure, and mental health law. Past president of Lincoln County Law Association and Niagara Criminal Lawyers Association. Involved in committee work for judicial liaisons, court process, and mental health.
