About John

John Hautmann founded Hautmann Law in 2006 after already practicing law in Edmonton for a number of years. He was born and raised partly in New York State, where he spent summers on the family farm in Alberta before immigrating to Canada. He completed his undergraduate studies at C.W. Post College, then worked for five years as a social worker before earning his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta in 1982. He has practiced law in Edmonton for more than 35 years, focusing on real estate, wills and estates, small business and corporate matters, and notary services.
