About John

John F. Silvester holds a B.A. from McGill University (1987), an LL.B. from the University of Toronto (1990), and an M.A. in Communications from the University of Miami. He was called to the bar in Ontario in 1993 and has practised criminal and family law as a sole practitioner in Mississauga for more than 25 years, primarily at the Brampton courthouse. He has served as per diem duty counsel at Brampton for more than 20 years, tutors criminal law part-time for the Law Society of Ontario, sits on the board of the Peel Law Association, and edits its quarterly Peel Briefs publication.
