About John
John D. Nelson is the co-creator of the Swiftsure Law brand and a senior lawyer with extensive court experience in complex and contentious family law matters. Raised in Victoria, BC, he earned an undergraduate degree in Political and Environmental Sciences from the University of Victoria and his JD from the Peter A. Allard School of Law in Vancouver, where he externed with the Provincial Court. He was called to the BC Bar in 2011 after articling with the Attorney General's office and spent several years working as a litigator in Vancouver before returning to Victoria. He is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association and the BC Bar Association and mentors articling students.
