About John
John Allan is a barrister and solicitor practising general law in Ottawa, with a background in criminal, family, immigration, and civil matters. He worked in the oil and gas industry before pursuing law, earning a postgraduate Bachelor of Law from the University of Ghana in 2004 after a B.Sc. (Honours) in Geology and Chemistry from the same university in 1989. He completed his Certificate of Practice at the Ghana School of Law and was called to the bar in Ghana in 2006, later qualifying through the Federation of Law Societies of Canada's accreditation process and being called to the Bar of Ontario by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
