About Johann

Johann Contreras founded Contreras Law after practicing in downtown Vancouver before moving his practice to Port Moody. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University, majoring in criminology and minoring in sociology, before receiving his law degree from Bond University in Australia and being called to the Bar of British Columbia. He has helped clients from around the world come to and remain in Canada, has appeared at immigration hearings, court hearings, and co-operative housing association meetings on clients' behalf, and focuses much of his practice on spousal sponsorship. He was nominated in 2021 for Business Leader of the Year and Young Professional of the Year by the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce, ran for Port Moody City Council in 2022, and is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia. Johann speaks French and Spanish in addition to English, and runs the firm's Port Moody office.
