About Joannie

Joannie C. Fu has a broad civil litigation practice with an emphasis on insurance defence, including construction claims, class actions, medical malpractice, contractual disputes, human rights complaints, and professional liability actions. She was called to the bar in 2022, and before joining Guild Yule LLP completed her articles at a national law firm and clerked for five justices at the Supreme Court of British Columbia. Fu grew up in the Lower Mainland, received her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria, and currently serves as a board director of Courthouse Libraries BC.
