About Jennifer
Jennifer Smith was born and raised in Laval, Quebec, and moved to Ottawa to complete an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in Sociology (French Immersion) at the University of Ottawa, before earning her Bachelor of Law at Universite Laval in Quebec City. She holds a Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, articled in Drummondville, Quebec in family law and civil litigation, and moved to Cold Lake in June 2018 as a military spouse. Over the following 18 months she re-established her credentials in Alberta and Saskatchewan, and is now a member of the Law Societies of Alberta and Saskatchewan and the Barreau du Quebec. Her practice combines collaborative and litigation-based family law, offered in both English and French, and she serves on the Board of Directors of the 4 Wing Military Family Resource Centre Society.
