About Jeffrey
Jeffrey D. Root is the senior partner of Jeffrey D. Root Law, a criminal defence firm based in Welland, Ontario. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1992 after earning his Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph. Over more than three decades of practice, he has defended clients facing charges including impaired driving, assault, drug and firearms offences, fraud, and more serious Criminal Code matters, and he has significant experience representing Gladue clients. He serves clients across the Niagara Region and surrounding communities, negotiating with the Crown and advocating in court at every stage of the criminal process.
