About Jeff

Jeff Orenstein is the founder of Consumer Law Group and devotes his practice primarily to plaintiff-side class action work. He is lead counsel in multiple national and provincial class actions and has appeared before the Quebec Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Quebec, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Quebec Court, the Quebec Labour Relations Commission, and various arbitration boards, with more than 150 reported cases across two provinces. He was called to the Barreau du Quebec in 2002 and to the Law Society of Ontario in 2011, holding a Bachelor of Laws from the Universite de Montreal and a Master of Laws from New York University. He serves on the Barreau du Quebec's Consumer Protection Committee, is a director of Mount Sinai Hospital's Board of Trustees, and is a frequent speaker at Canadian and U.S. class action conferences.
