About Jean-Marc

Jean-Marc Tremblay earned a law degree from Université Laval in 1998 and was called to the Barreau du Québec in November 1999, practising exclusively in criminal defence since then. Tremblay has been a member of the Judge Advocate General (JAG) branch of the Canadian Forces since March 2017, handling defence mandates for military members before the Court Martial. Tremblay appears before all levels of criminal court, including jury trials and appellate courts, and is bilingual, arguing cases in both English and French. Before becoming a lawyer, Tremblay earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in 1988 and served as a Maritime Surface and Subsurface officer in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1987 to 2000, including a deployment to the Red Sea in 1992. In November 2003, Tremblay received the Robert Sacchitelle Award, given to a lawyer with an outstanding defence performance.
