About Jason

Jason Rohrick is a Victoria, BC lawyer providing legal services to strata corporations and individual strata lot owners under the Strata Property Act. He was called to the bar in 2001 and practised as a civil litigator before also working several years as an administrative adjudicator and a policy and legislative analyst, including conducting stakeholder consultations to turn policy goals into drafting instructions for government lawyers. His current strata practice includes reviewing and updating bylaws and rules, advising on legally sensitive issues at owners' meetings, ensuring due process in bylaw enforcement and fee collection, and reviewing and negotiating contracts such as those with property managers. He does not appear before courts or other dispute resolution bodies, but provides limited advice and coaching on preparing forms, evidence, and submissions for such proceedings. He also lived in a strata townhouse complex for 12 years and served on its council.
