About Jason

Jason Easton is a Belleville-area native who grew up in Thurlow Township and graduated from Centennial Secondary School as an Ontario Scholar in 1999. He earned an Honours degree in Criminology from the University of Ottawa in 2003, graduating cum laude, then completed his Bachelor of Law there in 2006. He articled with Bayne Sellar Boxall and was called to the bar in 2007, then spent over a decade as an associate with Kafka Kort, building extensive experience litigating criminal and quasi-criminal matters at all levels of court. He represents clients facing charges ranging from traffic tickets to murder, and now practises through his own firm, Easton Law, handling criminal defence and provincial offences matters across the Quinte region. Outside the office, he has coached youth ball hockey and baseball in Belleville and co-founded the Bring the Bulls Back Project, a 2015-2016 campaign that helped bring professional hockey back to the city.
