About James

James maintains a broad general practice focused on family law, civil litigation, landlord and tenant matters, and real estate law, and he's expanding into corporate-commercial law and the legal issues raised by artificial intelligence. He graduated cum laude from the University of Ottawa's Common Law and Civil Law programs, earning a Licentiate in Law in 2021 and a Juris Doctor in 2022. While in law school, he co-founded the Civil Law Anglophone Students Association, championing mental health initiatives and improved access to English-language academic support for minority-language students. He placed third at the regional round of the Canadian National Negotiation Competition and went on to compete nationally. Before law school, he earned a BA in Urban Planning from Concordia University with distinction in 2017, an interdisciplinary background he draws on in his real estate practice.
