About Jaclyn
Jaclyn Gates is an associate in Cambridge LLP's Estate Planning and Administration Group, advising clients on wills, trusts, and estate administration. Where appropriate, she works alongside accountants, financial advisors, and business counsel to help build coordinated estate plans that address both legal and financial considerations. She is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), a designation granted by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, known as STEP, and was named in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch Canada for her work in Trusts & Estates. Jaclyn began her career as an articling student at a Hamilton firm before joining as an associate there, and later moved to Cambridge LLP. She completed her J.D. at the University of Windsor in 2018, after finishing an honours B.A. in political studies with a minor in global development at Queen's University, including a year abroad at Sciences Po Paris.
