Class ActionsIrwin I. Liebman has been a bilingual member of the Barreau du Québec since 1974. He practises across a wide range of civil and commercial matters, including banking law, employment law, insurance law (including product and professional liability), municipal liability, director and broker liability, class actions, criminal, penal and regulatory law, shareholder disputes, immigration, family law, pharmaceutical law, and price-fixing litigation and franchising. He has a longstanding interest in civil liberties and human rights and has pleaded before every level of court in Québec, including the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as before administrative tribunals. Liebman has advised numerous clients on complex matters, including crisis management, and represents both large and small companies as well as individuals. He graduated from McGill University with a degree in Economics and Political Science in 1969 and earned his B.C.L. law degree from McGill in 1972, where he was a member of the McGill Debating Team. He has lectured at McGill University and served on several committees of the Barreau du Québec.
