About Immi

Immi Sikand is the principal of Sikand Immigration Law and is Certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Citizenship and Immigration Law. She has worked exclusively in citizenship and immigration law since 1999, representing individuals, families, and businesses. After working with a large immigration service provider, she opened her own practice so clients could achieve their immigration objectives without paying for large-firm overhead. She regularly provides pro bono legal work and has served as a board member of the Stonegate Community Health Centre and the South Asian Women's Centre, as co-chair and founder of the South Asian Legal Clinic (Ontario), and as a legal intern at the Zanzibar Legal Services Centre in Tanzania. Sikand holds a B.A. in Honours Economics (Co-op) from Wilfrid Laurier University and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and is licensed to practise law in Ontario.
