About Ian
Ian Mackinnon is a retired partner of RDM Lawyers who practised commercial litigation and estate litigation, advising companies and shareholders on commercial disputes and clients on wills and estate litigation matters. Born and raised in Vancouver, he earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and his law degree from the UBC Law School in 1985, where he also played four years on the senior men's basketball team. He was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1986, worked at a Vancouver law firm for six years, and joined RDM in 1992. Mackinnon was a partner at RDM from 1993 to 2020 and lives in the Fraser Valley.
