About Habibat

Habibat Larai Kasim is the founder of Biba Law, focusing on family law, real estate, corporate and commercial matters, estate planning, and debt collection and judgment enforcement. She was called to the Nigerian bar in 2004 and holds a Master of Laws from the University of London, where she focused on corporate and commercial law. After completing Canada's National Committee on Accreditation qualifying process for foreign-trained lawyers, she articled at Shawn Patenaude Law in 2015 and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in February 2016. She practised at Shawn Patenaude Law until 2021 and then co-founded JBK Law Office, where she practised until 2025, before establishing Biba Law that year. Habibat is a trained mediator who offers both collaborative and court-based approaches to family law matters.
