Administrative & Regulatory LawGilbert Labine was called to the Ontario bar in 1977 and practises criminal litigation along with environmental and other regulatory litigation. He's certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a specialist in criminal litigation and holds a B.A. and an LL.B. from Queen's University. He has served as a member and past President of the Thunder Bay Law Association, and has sat on the Thunder Bay Legal Aid Area Committee, the Domestic Violence Advisory Committee, and the Youth Justice Steering Committee. Gil has also been a director of the Criminal Lawyers' Association and the Ontario Bar Association's Criminal Justice Section, and belongs to the Advocates Society. He served on Lakehead University's Board of Governors, was Vice-Chair of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, and currently chairs the North West LHIN board of directors. In 2020 he received the Law Society of Ontario Medal for his service to the legal profession.
