About Gerri
Gerri Wiebe was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2004, having begun her legal career in 2001 as a summer student with Killeen Chapman, where she later articled, worked as an associate, and became a partner in 2009. In 2012 she left Killeen Rolston Wiebe to join Bueti Gerri Wiebe, which was reconstituted as Gerri Wiebe in 2021. She practises almost exclusively in criminal defence, having represented clients on charges ranging from impaired driving to first-degree murder, and has conducted trials and appeals at all levels of Manitoba courts as well as the Supreme Court of Canada, along with matters in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Ontario. Gerri is active in the profession as President of the Criminal Defence Lawyers Association, a Bencher of the Law Society of Manitoba, a member of the Legal Aid Advisory Committee, and the defence bar representative to the Court Liaison Committee. She also serves as a Manitoba delegate to the Uniform Law Conference of Canada and as a guest lecturer for the Robson Hall Advocacy Program.
