About George

George M. Garvida is a barrister and solicitor who practises immigration, family, civil litigation, business, and criminal defence law in both Canada and the Philippines. He began his career as Counsel and Hearing Officer with the Videogram Regulatory Board and later as a Government Corporate Attorney with the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel in the Philippines, gaining litigation experience in corporate, administrative, and criminal matters for agencies including the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and GSIS Family Savings Bank. He earned his BA in Humanities and LL.B. from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 1993, later completing a Law Clerk Diploma at Seneca College in 2008 and a Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2014. He has provided services to agencies including the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada and the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, and focuses on serving Filipino-Canadian clients who have not traditionally had access to legal representation.
