About François

François Gaudreau practises primarily in the districts of Joliette and Témiscamingue, focusing on criminal and penal defence, including impaired driving charges, general Criminal Code offences, pardon (record suspension) applications, and contested provincial offence tickets. He originally trained in criminology and worked as a psychosocial worker before pursuing a legal career defending accused individuals, and he has a particular interest in how policing and the justice system affect individuals. He has been involved in community intervention and employment reinsertion volunteer work for about fifteen years, and previously served three years on the board of directors of the Jeune Barreau. He currently acts as treasurer on the Conseil de section du Jeune Barreau de Laurentides-Lanaudière, representing his colleagues' interests in the Joliette district.
