Elder Marques is a litigator and public law advisor based in Ottawa and Toronto. Prior to joining Blakes, he was a senior political advisor in Ottawa, serving as Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister and Chief of Staff to multiple ministers. He was previously a partner at another major national law firm and served as law clerk to the Chief Justice of Canada. He advises on regulatory approvals, foreign investment reviews, national security issues, and crisis management.
