About Donald
Donald J. Renaud earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta in 1981 and his law degree from the University of Victoria in 1984. He was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1985 and has represented injured people in BC courts for more than three decades, obtaining several multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts, particularly in cases involving birth trauma and cerebral palsy caused by medical negligence. He served as President of the Trial Lawyers Association of BC from 2001 to 2002 after many years on its executive committee, and continues to attend and present at trial advocacy and medical malpractice conferences across Canada and the United States. He is also a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association's Medical Negligence subsection and the American Association for Justice, including its Birth Trauma and Medical Malpractice litigation groups.
